MEID Mobile Equipment Identifier is the identification code of CDMA mobile phone and the unique identification code of each CDMA mobile phone or communication tablet. The MEID number is assigned and managed by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).
The application for MEID is subject to payment. The price is the official (TIA) fee of $8,000 per MEM range of $8,000, and an additional $8,000 is required for each additional 1M range of MEID numbers.
There is no universal method for viewing MEID numbers, which is set by each mobile phone manufacturer. You can find out how to view the MEID number by checking the phone manual.
The MEID is identified by 14 hexadecimal characters, and the 15th bit is a check digit, which does not participate in over-the-air transmission.
